I stand very corrected for a two quick response!  Yes, Staffelberg in Loffeld and also Stublang and not Staublang.  Went to Staffelbach with Don and Cherie - nice old unspoilt place with excellent Dunkles Lager.

Re Koettensdorf: you're right Juergen, Brauerei Hoh is well worth a visit, with another pleasant dark lager.  Take a bus to Drsendorf (907), then easy walk across fields to Koettensdorf, and another 1.5 kms to Sesslich and the beautiful Drei Kronen; then bus back to Bamberg - or, if you're feeling very energetic, you could walk to Merkendorf.  Alternatively, you could combine Koeteensdorf with Schammelsdorf, etc.  Jim, if you're interested in any of these, let me know and I can give you detailed directions.
