| Sorry Jim, got dates mixed up! I think that most of the walks that we have done have been well covered by others. 1. Dorfleims - Kemmern etc. By John and myself. 2. Around Memmelsdorf: there are a lot of variations for this one, including my bus version using the various 907 routes. But you can walk from Mems'dorf to Schammelsdorf, then to Lohndorf and Tiefnellen, then get bus back. Or you get off 907 in Drosendorf, try Goeller, walk thro woods to Schammelsdorf, then to Melkendorf or even Geisfled, Rosdorf and Strullendorf (train back to Bamberg). You can even incorporate Merkendorf. The variaions are so complex that's it's a bit hard to describe. Best to say what distance you fancy. 3. We did the walk from Bad Staffelstein to Staublang, calling at Staffelbach -v. nice. 4. Ebing - Hofen - Freudeneck has been described in great detail. There are so many possibilities - I think that the regular Forum walkers should put their heads together and compile a good walks directory, which could be added to this sight - courtesy of Fred, of course. |
