That particular garden was planted a number of years back, and was indeed covered by Bavarian TV at the time. It's some sort of experimental or educational garden, IIRC.

FWIW, I've neglected our decorative hops out back of our house during this last fortnight of ridiculous heat, and they're pretty much dying off already. Ah well, they'll be back next year.
