Oh, the beer varies. I've been lucky: it's only been really *sour* once or twice when I've been there, and I've probably been there less than 15 times in total over the years. I hope you have better luck next time. The food can be quite excellent, mine was on Wednesday.

The beer is served from a tankova-style (but Germany have also been producing these systems for years, I think) plastic-bag-in-a-tank like Roppelt in Stiebarlimbach, and on Wednesday, they had a little barrel there in the Biergarten, which they had  filled from the tank:
