"Self-brewed"

That's pretty honest and up-front IMO. At least according to *my* standards.

Compare that to Landgasthof & Brauerei Rittmayer in Willersdorf. There is no actual brewery in operation there, only remnants of the old brewery remain, the kettle and pump, to decorate the restaurant. Fair enough, a former brewery calling itself a brewery.

But then they claim to "brew their beer themselves", when in reality it's brewed for them at Lieberth. (Or at Rittmayer in Hallerndorf, I've asked and had this clarified, but keep forgetting the answer!) I suppose they might attend the brewing sessions, but they clearly aren't doing it themselves. And then they say that they have their schnapps brewed for them by farmers. Why be up-front about that, but not the brewing?

Whatever.

N.b.: All three Rittmayer breweries are distant relatives, but the Willersdorfer one had a falling out with the Hallerndorfer one, not sure about the relationship to either of the those two to the Aischer one.
