The Wetherspoons in Caernarfon has most beers at £2.05 and some at less than 2 quid.  Apart from W/spoons, the majority of pubs in North Wales welcome dogs and even have special doggy food menus!  Our apartment was 'dog friendly' and smelled like that!  Owners dogs were friendly - actually almost too friendly as they virtually knocked H off her feet!
