I recommend on 21th November the street festival "Lichthöfe" in the evening. Many stalls with culture, live music, food and drinks. Not so many visitors as the more commercial Sandkerwa.

The name Lichthöfe means backyards with lights. Lights illumnate the backyards in the area between Königstraße (where the brewery Spezial is, but this brewery has closed) and the railway station. The idea of this festival is to help the shops and small enterprises to survive and show the visitors the beautiful backyards in the "Gärtnerviertel" (farmer's area) in the midst of the city. At the Letzengasse 8 is a stall with Spezial Lager and the famous sausages of the butchery Kalb.

This is the booklet with the culture program. No admission fees.
