Manchester (re Forchheim)

I'm sorry Nick, but as pleasant as Sheffield is, the fact that it is built on 7 hills is I'm afraid where any similarities end :)

Barry - I concur completely with you noting the Black Country alongside Manchester. I would even argue (jovially) that the latter is even more so, as the pubs and traditional breweries remain popular and true to traditions, where the Manchester breweries are struggling I think and having to change direction to covet market trends. Still, both are worthy places for both traditional and modern styles, the Marble Brewery in Manchester is one of the best in the country.
