| As a matter of fact we have a discussion about the type of bodywork of the line in Bamberg. And also about the question how many of the ICEs will hold in Bamberg, p.e. the city of Coburg wants to get holds too..
Actually the plan is that Bamberg will get one hold each hour. In the long run this will depends on how many travelers will enter and leave the ICE in Bamberg. Each hold extends the driving-time. But for the travelers, who wants to drive to Bamberg, it should be not a real problem to leave the ICE in Nürnberg or Fürth or Erlangen and to take a slower train (S-Bahn or RE) to Bamberg. It's more a political question about the importance of the city Bamberg. |
