| I've often wondered if there is a part time job opportunity to do translation works for German companies with limited budgets (such as breweries, hotels, restaurants etc) who have pages translated from German. To a native English speaker they are somethimes very clumsy and very limited in terms of the information. Not wrong in most cases as such but just require some touching up. Google translate often comes into it. Whilst breweries don't get much foreign traffic, hotels and restaurants in Bamberg (or other tourist centric locations) would do and yet often the English pages of private hotels are very poorly written. With the number of younger Germans having a good command of English these days there really isn't an excuse. |
