| Doesn't sound like a popular move in Franken; to close a brewery/gasthof in a peaceful small village to convert into immigrant housing. At least they chose one of the poorer breweries, on this occasion, thought the locals must have enjoyed it. It's never good when a brewery closes. I've been to Winkler a couple of times this past few years and the beer was nothing great and the place had clearly seen better days but once closed these places are lost. I may visit before it closes at the end of Janaury, to pay my respects. What's the bet the beer is amazing! |
