Just to nitpick a bit...that SS pub apparently has eight keg beers on in addition to the one cask ale. I've really enjoyed SS pubs in the past, I shall strive to make it there this trip. Stockport's quite close to Manc by train, and there are some cracking pubs to visit, including the one you mention above. I've only been there once, to the one under the bridge, but not the Robinson's one, the free house, a few years ago.

I've been told the Arden Arms is a must.
