I understand your point Barry.And I personally worry that the pricing structure of beer in the UK is alienating sections of the population from pub culture.I am sure you recall when a manual worker who could buy 5 pints in a pub for an hours work.now in most parts of Britain would struggle to buy 2 for the same hours work.This imho, risks the survival of pubs,as we know them now.The contrast with Germany,(and a lot of other EU countrys) where pubs/bars are thriving on reasonable levels of profit.is obvious.
