Yeah Buettner is top notch for atmosphere.  Went with Jimbo and Gerhard last summer and the beer garden was lively and full and beer served BA was enjoyable.  Yes not an easy one to get to for us walkers although I suspect for the ambitious it is doable with a stop or three on the way if planned out.  The opening hours present an additional challenge though.

Glad to hear Mahrs U is going strong.  For me it was the best beer going in Bamberg last summer and not too shabby at their new keller at Annafest either.
