Barry, I think you would have really appreciated Barth Senger.  Nice small, quiet pub.  Wonderful gravity poured beer.  For me personally this is the greatest loss since visiting Franconia.  The Drei Kronen beer of Schesslitz was also very good as I recall and worth visiting.  Not quite the same as Barth Senger though.  That beer was easily one of my top 5 favorites ever, anywhere.
