The beers I refered to above having been shipped around the world were certainly not pasteurised. Some bottle-conditioned (one in particular stands out as exceptionaly well-travelled -- Bridgeport IPA, not so strong nor as hoppy as the hated modern ones), some not, but I'm pretty sure the number of Oregon microbreweries doing pasteurisation is...nil?

Some Franconian breweries get it right without pasteruisation or bottle-conditioning, why can't they all?
