Gushers

Interesting. I haven't drunk that in a long time (only at Abseits), and don't remember it as highly carbonated. It's a very decent, clean amber ale, like you might find in dozens of mainstream brewpubs on Main Street, USA.

Another German gusher I've had is the Braufactum Deutsches Porter (?), a recreation of an extinct northern porter style. I ordered it from their internet shop a few years ago when Braufactum was brand new, and it was, of course, premium-priced. And I lost about half of the bottle on opening it.

I didn't know before-hand that it was PURPOSELY infected with whatever bacteria, as part of the recreation. It was an interesting beer, worth trying, even at a premium price for a half bottle. But not twice.
