Bamberg 3 day beer festival (purity law)

Answering for Gerhard (we have been at Tages for last 3 years), usually, it is quite a reasonably well-behaved affair.  The beer selling is usually very well organised.  You buy a glass first and then exchange it as you go though the different beers.  At the end, you can keep or cash in and get your deposit back.  The music is generally at one side and doesn't bother you, if you don't want to listen.  Maxplatz is big enough to accommodate a lot of people, in comfort and German beery crowds always seem to be well-behaved - not something that I can always claim for my home country!

We don't usually stay too long, maybe a couple of hours, and then quietly remove ourselves to a Stube for further consultations!  I'd say thaty quality of the beer on offer is good, as all the breweries want to show off their best product.
