OT Harveys Sussex Best again

I'm sorry but 2 weeks is ludicrous. A cask of ale in a pub should be drunk within 2-3 days MAX. Yes it will 'last' a few days longer but it will lose its sparkle and life. I always ask what has been most recently tapped in a pub, especially if they have a lot of handpumps to avoid getting a pint that is lacklustre... I can't take it back because it's perfectly fine, but beer should be served fresh (by that I mean once the container is broached). Can you imagine going into a tank pilsner urquell pub in prague and getting a flat siedla? Or keeping a good bottle of red wine half full for 2 weeks? Even 24 hours changes the taste. Yes I'm aware it's not cask ale but the principles of oxygen quickly deteriorating alcoholic beverages is the same. As I said, 3-5 days and even then you'll notice the change in the beer by day 3.
