| Once when I was walking by the Dom, there was a wedding going on, and so there were door men keeping tourists out. One poor young American couple was pleading to be let in, as they'd come so far, just to see the 14th century Reiter in person. To no avail, sadly, even when I suggested they bribe the door man to walk them in and back out. Bamberg was only a day trip for them from I-forget-where, and they didn't have time to wait around for the wedding to end. Lesson: Bamberg is more than a day trip! |
