Windischeschenbacher vs Czech Bier

My short Prague visit was not really a beer trip: I was there to see my mother, who was on a river cruise there for 3 days. Luckily, Mom goes to bed EARLY and gets up pretty late, so I was on my own to explore in the evening. I was let down by the lack of tasty <4% traditional lagers that I was hoping to find; my own 3.7% mix of Pilsner Urquell & Störtebeker alc-free has more character than any of the few 9-10° lagers did that I found.

And there were some cracking good IPAs, more enjoyable than most of the syrupy messes I found in two weeks in Oregon last summer. Clearly need to explore some more. But in general, I'd drink any of Sunday's Zoigl(s) rather than most of the traditional full-strength Czech beers I tried.
