| Echo Mark's comments, it was a very pleasant afternoon and evening and the beer in beim gloser was excellent. Whilst it makes for interesting debate, I'm not so sure a direct comparison between zoigl and the beers from the bamberg region is so important. I've had good beer in windish, average beer in windish and below average beer in windish. But I've always had a great day drinking it. I'm sure their idiosyncrasies allow them some margin for error when it comes to quality and consistency but I'm not sure too many people mind. If you want clean, safe beer go to Munich. One things for sure, I'll be back to the oberpfalz soon. |
