Spargelzeit?

The first day of the official local Spargel season has been yesterday. The first asparagus is expensive, so You will find more restaurants with asparagus in the next weeks. Some restaurants offer cheaper asparagus from other countries.

The Erlkönig in Bamberg-Gaustadt offers an asparagus menu:

The most dishes You can find are combinations of white Spargel with potatoes, sauce hollandaise and a kind of meat (steak or ham) or scrambled eggs . The asparagus portions / peellings/ trash are used for soups.
