Interesting.  Hellmuth had a real nice pale lager at the festival last week and also when I visited there with Juergen a few years ago.  I never went to Thoman and I remember Juergen saying it wasn't so good but I had their dunkle at the festival and thought it was good.  Goes to show how the batches can vary I guess.
