Nice find! Excellent brewery. Did you discuss the beer with anyone there? I'd be curious to know about the yeast: "ale/lager" "top/bottom" "warmer/cooler" fermenting. As I was yammering on to someone in Lichtenfels, if I could have that in 5L Partyfass at home at a decent price, I wouldn't need to homebrew, even though it's not as perfect as it could be.

Me and my sister, in South Carolina, got caught out cold on Sunday evening dining out with family (my Dad's not from there originally, but relocated there years ago). It turns out that  the county just outside the city limits where they live is a "dry Sunday" county. Thus, no alcohol may be sold at all. And that's where the restaurant is that Dad chose for us to go to. So that was an experience: flounder & fries with *water*. New Belgium Slow Ride "session IPA" (4.5%) is quite, quite good though.

An overnight on Saturday in Decatur, GA, after flying from NUE-FRA-ATL yielded quite a lot of quite good post-post-post modern microbrewed US beer, though the "Kirsch Gose" (Victory Brewing) I had to kick the evening off was quite silly. NOT cheap though!
