| After the recent trip to franken.where I thoroughly enjoyed the Pils at zur sonne Bischberg.I moved on to the czech republic,and of course Plzen.At "U Salzmannu" which seems to be a brewery tap for Plzensky Prazdroj, I had the Pilsner urquell,(as one would) and it was indeed very different from versions tasted in Franconia.And to my own taste more enjoyable,being the first time I had tried it at source,it was far superior to the versions tried back in the UK. But I will not say better( are cox apples better than gala apples?)if you get my drift. I lean toward the opinion that Pils from Plzen is the benchmark, |
