Franconian Pils. Or fränkisch(es) Pils. "Franken" as an adjective does not exist. It is the German name of the region of Franconia, as well as the plural form of the noun describing a person from Franconia: one male Franke, one female Fränkin, two or more Franken (males or unkown gender, or the population in general, or the footie team), two or more Fränkinnen (females).

The bump from 4.6 to 5% ABV in Keesmann Pils a year or two ago has made a big difference. Now, it's barely distinguishable to other Franconian Pilsners. Used to be dryer and hoppier (meaning flavour and aroma). But the brewer told me the people...the Franken...like it blander and stronger, so........
