| The "Griesgarten" was an historic pub with a beergarden behind. The "Schützengesellschaft Edelweiß 1898" has rented rooms in the same building with a shooting range. 2014 the last pub owner (who has rented the pub) has gone bancrupty. In the last time it was a restaurant with a mix of franconi and and california-styled mexican food. Then the owner of the building has decided to close the pub and to change to apartments. Total renovation: 2015
The Griesgarten was founded as the so-called "Schrottenberg-Garten" (1753), a part of the old "Judenkirchhof" (jewish churchyard) since the 15th century, an area until the later "Pelikan". The name Gries is the name of the pub and building owner Michael Gries, who use his family name for his pub/beergarden.
