The beer was on the verge of being to un-cool, if I were to offer a criticism. Friendly, helpful staff offering tastes to a few punters during my time sitting opposite the bar. "Sorry, sir, we don't have Doom Bar, but you might like this (FFF Bitter). But neither is really an 'IPA'".

Also saw more dogs come in during those 2-1/2 hours than I did in 4 days in the city.

Failed to mention this above, but those looking for a proper airline (i.e. not one of the controversial discount ones likely to call a "May Day" due to fuel shortage if a thunderstorm pops up) connection from London to Nuremberg, Swiss has served me really, really well with a very short connection time in Zurich a couple of times now. The 45 minute layover is more than enough time to get from one airplane to the next, even going through passport control.

In fact, my flight to LCY saw me depart the funny Arvo plane at one gate in Zurich, loop around through half the concourse, and end up back at the gate underneath, to board the exact same Arvo for the second leg. That was funny. Also, a 17€ upgrade to a premium seat in the front on the Airbus planes with more leg room. Under 4 hours end to end with a transfer in a small, efficient airport for under 200€ return, free chocolate, and funny Schweizer-Deutsch being spoken all around you.

Early September might well see us back on the Blessed Isle of Thanet, actually. The owners of the holiday home in which we've stayed a few times have offered us a free week then. They're selling the place and want to thank us for having been regular (and their first) guests, as well as, I presume, for Mrs's glowing reviews of the place. Not sure we'll go, as Mrs isn't keen on taking that time off. I may go solo.

If not, have to see. Whilst I enjoyed my BRIEF visit to a few Zoigl places a couple of months ago, I don't envision us overnighting or spending hours and hours there.
