| A couple of things that you're missing from the equation, Mark: firstly, from what I saw, the Best Western in Ehingen is about twice as expensive as the Ibis Budget in Ulm. Ok, it may be twice as good but we are only in it for one night (actually probably about 8 hours), so it doesn't matter that much. Secondly, by the time we get to Ulm, we've already been on 4 different trains, over a 3 hour period and just don't want another train ride - sadly, we're not teenagers anymore and carting our backpacks on and off trains can be a bit tiring! Ditto for the following morning, it means getting another train into Ulm and, really, what we're looking for is somewhere on the rail line between Ulm and Memmingen. But, I must say that Ehingen looks interesting and may be worth a try in other circumstances. Has anyone ever been to the brewery in Illertissen? Their website doesn't seem to work. |
