More translation/travel query's .sorry.

Sorry if some of this has been covered, still traveling and behind on my reading...

If one train is late causing you to miss the specific train on your Savings Ticket, I've never had an issue with it being honored on the next train. Once when it was clear I would be late and I would misconnect I asked the conducter and he made a note on my ticket. Another time (when I didn't have a note) the conducter consulted his gadget and said it was fine. I would go down to the ticket window in W-burg should you misconnect. After all, it is thier train that made you late.

They also don't seen to care that much about RE/RB just IC/EC/ICE when it comes to specific trains. As Jimbo said, I've often taken an eariler train to avoid the "Würzburg Shuffle"

The RB trains do often have a first class compartment -- usually at one end and about 8 seats. You are guaranteed to get you ticket checked if sitting there smiley
