| After hearing all about it for many years I have finally been able to spend some time at Sandkerwa the last few days. Well, actually the truth is nearer that I've spent some time at home - I've loved it. The amazing weather helps of course and I can understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea but as a resident you get the added pleasure of seeing friends and enjoying a beer or two with lots of different people. Last night I was invited to join a private party in a renovated house opposite mondschein with Robert P (of Robesbiere), frank w, Gregor and Johannes from holzlein and the owner of Post Tiefenellern. A selection of 4 beers was on tap (holzlein kirchweih fest bier, Fischer lager, Herron pils and Schlenkerlas helped, a rare treat on tap). It was of course complimentary. It was great fun, we even had love music inside courtesy of a very talented accordionist. At the fest I enjoyed lots of Hummel (gravity), Sonne and drei kronen Scheßlitz. Of course it's busy and especially later full of youngsters having far too much fun but the atmosphere is great. The party continues until tomorrow night... I may well take up Roberts offer for a beer or two. See you friday in Zoigl land Barry!! |
