Bauchfass/Tub/Gravity Barrel Question

(Tub is what they call them at the GBBF, dunno if it's a British expression outside there.) I've laid my neck on the chopping block of Twitter, claiming that these are steel or aluminium, with a plastic fake-wood coating or encasement. True? Of course, REAL wooden barrels are wooden.
