| So yesterday I visited the Wagner Keller in Oberhaid. My girlfriend drove me to Staffelbach (where the beer at Hertlein was excellent as usual) and I thought I'd bolt on some forum research. As an aside, the Hannla Keller was my first beer experience in Franconia back in 2007 (no idea why I chose it, can't recall the beer being anything worse than normal). That time the beer was gravity. Now it's keg. And it was... DISGUSTING. I'm no expert on technical brewing stuff but it was slightly medicinal and very very bad. I can probably count on one hand the number of bad beers I've had in Franconai. Sure plenty of average, bland or boring ones but they are always at least drinkable. I poured half of the Wagner by a tree. Poor tree. Im not going to bother visiting the pub in case something is different there. I can't imagine it being any better |
