A couple of observations

You know, I did find Director's around a few places in Thanet in July. 4.8% IIRC, rather than the regular "Take Courage" 4%. A decent strong bitter, though too strong for me, of course. A better strong bitter than the 4% is as a best or whatever. I will still have a 4% now and again, just because I can. And I think of you each time!

On 1 Jan 1997, I did a two-mash homebrew: A high-gravity "Scottish" strong ale, and then the second runnings was a much lower-gravity "Scottish" ale. Both came out a bit funky; would've been better to call them "Belgian" ale. I recall the date because it was the last time I brewed in my old Oregon life.
