A couple of observations
Posted by Andy H on 2016-09-07 09:55:37
During my recent flying vsit,I noted that a couple of the  Bamberg brauereis appeared to have changed the profile of some beers. and or qualitity control.
As I dont go in for comments, about the rights and wrongs of Brewers style or profile choices,
ie " The pils was underhopped,it tasted of Butterscotch,Infected, blah blah"All I will remark on are my personal opinions. So, I did not enjoy the Herren Pils at Keesmann,or the Sternla very much. But not totally unenjoyable. I thought the "U" at Mahr was very tasty and more so than on previous visits, when have only really wanted one and no more.
The beer I had at Klosterbrau, cant actually recall what it was! dd not enjoy at all so not much has changed there.
The beer I liked a great deal was Fassla Pils,.very tasty, and dangerously drinkable.Although always good in the past, now seems Imbo, more drinkable than the Herren pils at keesmann.
