The term "Pils" for a light, well-hopped Lager of moderate alcoholic strength is hardly known in the czech countries; the beers of this type are called simply "světlý ležák", which means just "Helles Lagerbier" and includes all light lagers with a gravity of 11° or 12°. All these beers are more or less copies of the Original Pilsner Urquell, some of them are even better -  IMHO - than the "original" (e.g. Kout, Únětice, Vinohradský or Štahlavý) The better ones are all brewed with the original Saaz (Žatec in czech) hops and most of them are a hundred times better than many poor german copies.
