| Hardly anyone there today. Take a look at the webcams on www.wiesn.tv, though perhaps a bit later since it is rather foggy right now and therefore less appealing. By-the-way, how come it would take you three hours to get to Munich on the ICE when it only takes two from Bamberg (and we stop in Erlangen on the way). I've been a couple times over the years. It can be fun when you go with friends or family and leave before the evening crowd gets too tanked. I now go to Munich every couple months since I have family there. The beer is not too exciting but last time I found one that I really liked. There is a micro-brewery set up at the Paulaner Brauhaus, Kapuzinerplatz 5, which produces a fresh zwickl beer. I liked it so much that I even brought back a 3/4 liter bottle, which I enjoyed the next day. |
