[WARNING: Elevated festival beer prices mentioned below!]

Well, it wasn't THAT amazing, but in yesterday's lovely autumn weather, it was quite lovely. If the forecast holds, I may head down again this afternoon with doggy. Excellent roast Ochsenfleisch at Trixi's Ochsenhaus.

In walking in from the Bahnhof, I saw stands with Binkert (Porter & Summer Ale from the bottle 4€), Landwehr, Ammerndorf, Tucher & Zirndorfer, Mönchshof (incl their OK Festbier badged as Kärwabier), Alt (of Dietzhof), Kitzmann, and the Grüner Festbier, which was so OK I had two. Prices were between 3.50 and 4€, pretty reasonable for a big city downtown Kirchweih event such as this, IMO.

And the people at the stand where I got my Grüner couldn't say how strong it is. Nor do Grüner or Tucher seem to want to acknowledge its existence online.

Recommended for those who happen to be in Franken, though I wouldn't say it's worth planning a visit around.
