| There are no really force-carbonated beers I believe here in Czech. In other words, beer is fermenting either in open vessels or fermentation tanks, then ( ! shortly before finish of the fermentation) is transferred to lagering tanks where it gets its own carbonation. The same like in Germany. From there (sometimes through KEGs) beer is filled to bottles using counter-pressure bottle filler, using either carbon dioxide or nitrogen as counter-filling gas. If you want to have really fresh PETs (to be sure), you have to visit brewery. The same like in Germany - even if I shop in special Getränkemarkts, beer is not as good as directly from brewery) By the way, majority of these small breweries does not use glass bottles, they use only PETs. And the rest - they use it, but they filling glass bottles only sometimes, while PETs are being filled much more often. Also, sometimes glass bottles are filled in other brewery's filling machine (similar to e.g. Rittmeier in Hallerndorf is filling other beers), while PETs are done "in house". |
