Ale again

I believe I know what a "kil" is, 54 gallon barrel, right? No, that's a hogshead. ??? Hmmm...is this right? I didn't think it was so straight-forward, multiples of 8 (imperial) gallons.

Anyway, I believe I had a cask John Smith's at the Piccadilly pub (not the new Picadilly Tap, mind!) in Manchester 5 or 6 years ago. And yes, it was just any other brown bitter, just fine for what it is.
