| We started with firkins as a trial - remember that we were essentially a tied Courage pub - but 6x was so popular that we graduated to kils! Our other real ales were Courage Best & Directors plus John Smiths bitter -we were the only pub in the south to have it cask conditioned and it was lovely, thus proving my point that anyone can make good beer if so desire! We didn't have any problems with keeping the 6x in good condition - good cool cellar, very regular line cleansing, just good management. Mind you, it didn't last too long! But four real ales was enough, ten is just ridiculous! |
