| I have no wish to denigrate the Neuhaus operation, which was a worthy attempt to maintain an old tradition, which seems, in principle, to resemble the Zoigl tradition. I'm simply saying that it is not Zoigl, particularly now that the Kommunbrauhaus is closed down. Functionally, of course, beer is just beer wherever and however it is brewed. But the long tradition of Zoigl, albeit that some aspects have changed over the centuries is what makes it special, and gives this beer a place in the history of the town's in which it is brewed. This is something that can not be replicated. |
