Was a lovely day out. Met the two young Englishmen at Keesmann, where they had started at Mahr's. Gigantic Pfefferkarpfen for lunch for me there, the Sternla & Bock were in fine form. Then to Klosterbräu, where the Bruanbier and Bock were OK.

Then to Schlenkerla with its crowd of tourists and nutters, no Bock for us there, though it was on. Spezial U was OK - good, where we encountered the Nebraskans. Pils at Fässla as bland as anything from Munich.

The Norwichers left for Nürnberg at that point, and we went to Mahr's, where we were able to scavenge a few seats way in the room out in back, off the yard. Krenfleisch was lovely. Helles...barely drinkable. Then a nightcap of Keesmann Bock. No Abseits, thankfully, or I'd really be suffering today.

Mark was apparently lost somewhere in the northern wastes.
