| Ok, Aichinger, yes a very nice visit (with Gunnar and Nick on the bus?) a few years ago. The lady of my vintage was sitting quietly in a corner and we were served by a very pleasant young lady. There was a little group of older regulars, perhaps playing cards. It was lovely but there was only the delightful Spezial on sale - but that was good enough for us! Really glad that you like Knoblach, Mark, as I thought that I was in a minority of one (or two with J). I like both the Helles and Dunkel; to me it is a hoppy bitterness but I know others disagree but, as I said a few posts back, it's all down to personal taste. It's also a very friendly place and lovely to sit under the trees in summer. There is an excellent walk thro the woods from Drosendorf and you can combine it with a trip to the latter and Merkendorf and also Hölzlein and Hönig - even Hoh and Drei Kronen Schesslitz, if you're feeling energetic! |
