| Interesting. I would try them. The new (since a few years ago) "Qualitätsglühwein" stand at the big market in Erlangen also had some sort of Glühbier once (maybe still does), I tried it and it was just nasty. And now I can confirm, the "historic/mediaeval" market at Neustädter Kirchenplatz also has draught Pils and Festbier from Heller in Herzogenaurach, also for 3€. Plus, Weizen. But the kicker: The Pils is served in the same Glaskrug as the Festbier, so a better price than at the big market, where it's only a 30 cl glass for 3€. Yesterday's Pils was a bit too clean though, it was lacking the nice buttery note from Wednesday's glass at the other market. The Festbier is lovely though, if not the maltiest around. Also not terribly strong, but lovely pale golden. |
