| Eine gute Wurst needs no flippin' ketchup! I will admit to having eaten and enjoyed a "Slutty Rutty Butty" at the Rutland Arms in Sheffield once. But otherwise, chips on white bread...what did my poor pancreas ever do to *me* to deserve that? Just occurred to me: ketchup on a hot dog is very American. Currywurst is just a sort of Americanisation of Wurst. Anyone decrying creeping Americanisation in this country should eschew Currywurst. Or something; I've got a plane to catch to Antwerp. Well, the plane lands in Brüssel, then onwards from there for four days of dangerously, treacherously strong Belgium beer. (I see what I did there!) |
