BBQ coming to Bamberg

It's the same here in the US.  Despite all the variety on tap at most pubs (at our local for example not just all these craft IPAs but also Fullers Pride, Porter, etc.) the majority of regulars are still drinking Bud Light and so on.  I think it boils down to cost and habit and the fact that they just like drinking Bud Light more than these richer beers.
