| Yes, you are missing a few things! Firstly, sorry Jan, that is not the best websitre, that is, if you want real Zoigl! Check zoiglbier.de, which is the only site authorised bythe brewers who use the Komunbrauhaus in the five zoigl towns. If you look for English info, you will find a snappy introduction to Zoigl and why you should stick to 'Echte Zoigl' Stube (wrtten by your's truly!). Click on Zoigltermine (calender/dates) and you will find the opening times/dates of all the real Zoiglstube in the five Zoigl towns. As Jimbo says, the Oberpfalzer Hof is a hotel but they do serve Zoigl that is brewed by Robbie Sperber of Beim Binner; likewise Weisse Schwan, another hotel but with Zoigl by Robbie. It's usually pretty decent, as this is the home of 'my' Wednesday night Stammtisch - and they should know! Falkenberg is notoriously hard to get to public transport but IMHO Kramer is worth the effort. It is walkable from Windisch - but will take you probably 3 hours through the forest. Otherwise, it is possible to get a taxi. |
