| My family lived in Vestenberg for 2 years in the late 90's. My husband was stationed in the US Army nearby. We lived off of Vestenberg bier. We loved all of it. The fact that the brewery was in walking distance probably had something to do with it. If you are in the area it is beautiful and the bier is served in all the local gasthauses. | Outstanding beer with a very distinctive taste from an outstanding brewery! I think, it´s the absolute No. 1 (followed by Penning in Hetzelsdorf)!!! Try their dark Export (the stuff of dreams!) and their pale Export (very nice bread-taste). Also nice but not outstanding ist the Pils. Avoid the "Bock", that´s something for hardcore drinkers... | ||

| A great brewery in a gorgeous little Franconian town. I had both the dark beer and the pale export. Both were excellent especially the pale export which was liquid gold. Also got a tour of the brewery from the owner. The lagering tanks in a chamber dug into the hillside was really cool! | ||
